On one side of the world, there is grand auto show organized to reveal the forthcoming cars with futuristic technologies, while at the other end is the grand inauguration of bookings for the previously launched vehicles. This trend of the automobile makers has taken the competition level a step ahead on the global platform.
Focusing on the trending hustle-bustle of the Renault, the French automaker has introduced its SUV Captur with DNA of the crossover. The company intends to deliver the SUV in the festive season in India. The bookings have started from September 22, 2017. To book this car, customers will have to use the Renault Captur App or visit Renault India website. The initial booking amount has been kept at Rs 25 Thousand.
2017 Renault Captur is built on Duster’s B0 platform. However, Renault will keep its Duster and doesn’t intend to pull it out from the market. This SUV is expected to compete with Hyundai Creta, Mahindra XUV500, and other SUVs in India. Renault India has already started the 2017 Captor Teaser Campaign in India.
Coming on to features of the new SUVs, it is equipped with LED headlamps, and DRL s. The company is already selling this SUV in 75 countries worldwide and it will be launched in India now.
There are two variants in terms of interior. The customer can choose a two-tone look or all black theme model of this car. It has a 7.0 Inch touchscreen technology system, which is equipped with Bluetooth connectivity. Renault Captur is 18mm longer than duster and its ground clearance is 204mm. It has been introduced with 5-seater combinations in India.
In India, it will be launched with 1.5 Liter diesel and 1.6 Liter petrol engine. These engines will come with both 5-speed manual and CVT. There is also a feature of Keyless Entry. Renault Captur is also expected to compete with Jeep Compass in India which is among the fresh designed SUV in the Indian automobile market.
So, it will be pretty interesting to see as to how well this SUV perform on the Indian shores.
