The cities added are Coimbatore, Lucknow, Indore, Chandigarh, Mysore, Vadodara, and Surat. This new improvement is all done to help the users get a brief idea about their surrounding cities as well as the detailed city information. Google Maps helps you connect to the world present around you by just a click. The seven cities have been added to the already existing cities including Bangalore, Jaipur, Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Chennai, Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, and Pune which sums up to sixteen now.
Google Transit is present as a feature of the Google Maps which helps the users locate their destination by just a few clicks. For example, if you plan to travel to Lavasa city in Pune, all you need to do is just type the destination and you’ll have the map presented onto your screen. What more do you expect? In addition to this, the maps have separate icons for bus or travel mode right from the arrival time to the departure time along with the names of the buses, their timings and the route they are going to use. Any Android or iOS gadgets and a browser will have the Google Maps’ Google Transit feature.
A detailed study shows that the Google Maps provide a transit of about 1 Billion Kilometer daily and also has 2.5 Million public transit stops all across the world.
